In the 8th National Open Athletics Walking Competition, athlete Komal Pal gave brilliant performance bagging a silver medal.
The competition was held in Ranchi on February 13 and 14, player of Madhya Pradesh Athletics Academy Komal Pal gave Madhya Pradesh a silver medal in the 10 km walk race competition for Girls' Under-18. Komal earned this medal with a time of 55 minutes 04 seconds. Similarly, in the under-20 boys category, Athletics Academy player Bajrangi Prajapati completed the 10 km walk in 44 minutes 16 seconds and gave Madhya Pradesh a bronze medal.
State Sports and Youth Welfare Minister Yashodhara Raje Scindia congratulated Academy players Komal Pal and Bajrangi Prajapati, who performed brilliantly in the national walking competition and won medals. She said that our players are consistently excelling in national competitions and are winning the medals of Madhya Pradesh.
Director Sports and Youth Welfare Pawan Jain has appreciated the performance of Academy athletes Komal Pal and Bajrangi Prajapati. Both the above players have given the lead instructor of the academy, S. K. Prasad earned medals by participating under the guidance of Mr. Govind Jat and Assistant Instructor.
