Ahead of completion of the second year of his Government’s fifth term on May 29, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Saturday told his Council of Ministers about his decision to review the progress of works of different departments from May 15 to 25.
During the review meetings, the Ministers in the presence of the concerned department Secretaries would apprise the Chief Minister about the achievements of their five major programmes. The CM wrote to the Ministers in this regard.
Also, the Ministers would inform the CM on how the 5T initiative and ‘Mo Sarkar’ programme were carried out by their departments. In what way the 5T and ‘Mo Sarkar’ have improved the functioning of the departments would also be discussed during the review meeting, a statement issued by the Chief Minister’s Office mentioned.
The CM said, “People are masters in a democratic system. We have to tell the 4.5 crores people of Odisha how far we have succeeded to keep the promises given to them. This will strengthen the faith of people in democracy.”
The Council of Ministers on May 29 would discuss the success of each department so that the progress card would be subsequently presented before the people, the CMO statement added.
