The chief minister Trivendra Singh Rawat has said that the all the block headquarters of the state would be connected with one and half lane roads. Talking to the media persons outside the Vidhan Sabha on Tuesday, the CM said that he has already made a declaration that the Nandprayag- Ghat road would be broadened. He said that as per the Motor Vehicles Act, a one and half lane road can only be made when more than 3,000 vehicles move on it in a day. In the case of the Nandprayag- Ghat road, the vehicle movement is only 300 per day. The CM said that he has recently declared in Almora that all the block headquarters of mountainous areas would be connected with one and half lane roads while a double lane road would connect the block headquarters of plain areas.
