An online lecture series 'Vision' was held on Friday at Rabindranath Tagore University on New research in the literature of Premchand.

Rajeev Ranjan Giri, Senior Writer and Associate Professor, Rajdhani College, University of Delhi was present as the guest speaker.

He said that it is very important to have a good, right and right vision for any research. When we do research on Premchand's literature, we find that in our society all the characters who came in Premchand's works – Hori, Coriander, Gobar, Rukmani, Malti are still alive. The online lecture was organized by Pravasi Bharatiya Literary and Culture Research Center, Faculty of Humanities and Liberal Arts, Rabindranath Tagore University, Bhopal in the online lecture on the occasion of Premchand Jayanti "New research in the literature of Premchand".

Rajiv Ranjan Giri further said that a lot of research has been done on Premchand's literature. The relevance of Premchand has its own meaning. Premchand wanted social change. The questions of Premchand's era still stand as it is. For a new approach to research on Premchand's literature, one has to constructively collide with the people who have worked on him and not become a patwari. For research on Premchand, work has to be done with the right approach by making the basis of sociality, nationality, internationalism and humanity.

On this occasion, Sangeeta Johri, Dean, Faculty of Humanities and Liberal Arts threw light on the research work being done by the university. The welcome address was given by Usha Vaidya, Head of the Department.  Rajiv Ranjan Giri was introduced by Sanjay Singh Rathore, coordinator of Pravasi Bharatiya Literary and Culture Research Center.

The successful programme was conducted by Moushumi Parihar Coordinator, Pravasi Bharatiya Sahitya and Culture Research Center.
