A 30-year-old woman was set afire in Arjun Khedi village under Berasia police station area on Monday over property dispute. The condition of the victim is critical. Police have registered a murderous assault case against three persons.
The victim Asha Singh Rajput sustained severe injuries after her brother-in-laws Virendra and Shyam and Shyam’s brother-in-law Sishupal after having verbal spate set her ablaze. Asha’s husband Sanju Singh Rajput and brother-in-law Uday Singh Rajput tried to save her in which Sanju sustained burn injuries in her hands
She was rushed to a private hospital where her condition is reportedly critical.
In complaint made by victims it was stated that Virendra and Shyam have old dispute over property and in the afternoon the two came along with Shishupal and during verbal spate they set her ablaze by pouring oil over her.
Police said that the victim has sustained burns over vital organs and doctors have told that she had sustained over 50 per cent burns and her condition is reportedly critical.
Based on the statement of the victim police have registered a case under section 307 of the IPC against the two accused.
During the investigation it was found that two accused are real brothers of Sanju and had dispute over paternal property and in the afternoon they came to talk over the matter but entered a brawl and when Asha intervened they went infuriated and set her ablaze. Her body from ribs to lower half sustained severe burn injuries.
Police have raided several places in search of the accused while they managed to remain absconding.
