Agneepath stir: Ruckus in Aligarh, police post blown up, ADG's car damaged

In the Agneepath protest, miscreants ransacked, arson and pelted stones. Most of the ruckus has happened in Aligarh. Here the police post was burnt. The SSP and other officers had to run for their lives and the glasses were broken by stone pelting on the ADG's vehicle.

The protest against the Agneepath scheme started from this morning itself. There was a fierce ruckus in Aligarh on Friday against the new scheme of army recruitment, Agneepath. The ruckus which started around 11 am continues till now.

Yamuna Expressway and Tappal-Jattari area has been converted into Agneepath. Protesters opposing the plan setthe police post Jattarion fire. Several vehicles parked in the outpost were set on fire, the car of the constable parked outside the Jattari police post was set on fire.

The chairman's car was also burnt. Dozens of UP and Haryana roadways buses including police-administration vehicles were vandalized and arson on Yamuna Expressway and Interchange. Many policemen including CO Khair have also been injured in the ruckus, even the DM-SSP, who arrived to disperse the out-of-control crowd, could not handle the situation.

DM-SSP in Jattari escaped after saving their life in stone pelting. Somehow the miscreants were stopped by firing tear gas shells, the SSP had to go through the fields to save the lives of the officers. Amidst the tense situation, ADG of Agra Zone, Rajiv Krishna also reached Tappal. His car was also pelted with stones.

The windshield of the car is also broken. On this matter, ADG Law and Order Prashant Kumar said that tyre of a roadways bus has been set on fire in Tappal. Some inputs have been received that students are being instigated. Demonstrations are still going on in some places in Mathura. Some chaotic elements have entered among the students.
