The Air Turbo Compressor (ATC) of the Gas Utilities Department of BSL was inaugurated on 17th October by BK Tiwari, Executive Director (Works). Chief General Manager (Services) Anil Kumar, Chief General Manager (CRM-3) Ved Prakash, Chief General Manager (Maintenance) Sharad Gupta, Chief General Manager (DNW) Neeraj Bhatia, Chief General Manager (Electrical), Devashish Sarkar. Chief General Manager (Power) Alak Sadhu, Chief General Manager (Mechanical) VK Singh, General Manager (Gas Utilities) SS Sinha along with senior officers and employees of Gas Utilities Department and other departments were present. Air Turbo Compressor was not in operation for the last several years. In view of its utility in the Gas Utilities Department, the officers and personnel of ETL, Heavy Maintenance (Electrical), C&A, DNW, Shops, Instrumentation etc. have decided to bring it into operation. It was tested after the desired modification and after all successful concern trials, it was put into operation. Thus with restored operation of air turbo compressors, there will be an increase in the production of oxygen plants as well as improvement in the purity of oxygen and nitrogen.
