Animal clay modeling workshop

Regional Museum of Natural History, Bhopal organized an “Animal Clay Modeling Workshop” on 22 April, 2022 on the occasion of International Earth day under Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav – 75th anniversary of independence. The topic of the workshop was “Animals of India”. 50 underprivileged students from various corners of Bhopal through Parvarish- the museum school; Aranya Loknyas the NGO; NIWCYD Bachpan the NGO were participated in the workshop.

In the beginning of the workshop, Scientist-in-charge of the museum Manoj Kumar Sharma  welcomed the all participants, trainers and told that we have to conserve the all biodiversity to save the earth. Sharma also told that we should avoid single use plastic. He appealed to make effort to save the Rhino. Beenish Rafat, Scientist-C; Manik Lal Gupta, Scientist-C, Museum staff members and trainers of NGOs were present during inaugural session of workshop.

During the workshop, Modeler of the museum Shri Arvind Anupam demonstrated to prepare the model of Rhino. Participants also created models of Rhino with the help of clay in the guidance of Shri Arvind Anupam.

During the concluding session of the workshop, Scientist-C & Co-ordinator of the workshop Manik Lal Gupta made an appeal to participants and requested to plog, use locally available materials, use cloth bag for purchasing, stop deforestation, minimize the consumption of energy & plastic and start drives of swachhata Abhiyan with the help of society; to save earth.
