Thursday, 24 November 2022 | Staff Reporter | RAIPUR

The Bharatiya Janata Party's Chhattisgarh state in-charge, Om Mathur, on Wednesday emphasized that the BJP will form the next government by winning a historic majority in assembly elections in 2023.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the last eight years has changed the political direction of the country, Mathur told the media here.

He said the politics of caste and dynasty do not work. Only the politics of development will continue.

The Congress is not a challenge for the BJP in the state, he said.

On Congress leaders, he said after 70 years the Congress has recognized the presence of God and visited temples especially during the election period. Nothing stopped them from going to temples all these years.

Mathur said the BJP never misuses the central agencies. He said that Narendra Modi, when he was Gujarat Chief Minister, and Amit Shah were arrested and interrogated for hours by central investigative agencies when the Congress ruled the country.
