Bhuiyan Software, a land records project run by the Office of the Commissioner of Land Records in Chhattisgarh, was on Thursday conferred the prestigious IMC Digital Awards at a grand ceremony held in Mumbai.
The award for excellence in the government sector was presented to the Office of the Commissioner, Land Records and National Informatics Centre (NIC). Saurabh Dubey, a scientist in NIC, received the award, an official communication said.
Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel and Revenue Minister Jaisingh Agrawal have congratulated the Land Records Department and NIC for the achievement.
The award was given for availability of digitally signed land records, online maps and integration of Bhuiyan with the Registration Department which has solved the problem of duplicate registrations.
Under the Bhuiyan programme, the land records in the state have been digitized. It ensures its availability online for easy access. It has brought transparency in various processes of the revenue department.
Through software, 4 crore digitally signed documents have been made available online.
Apart from it, more than 3,800 banks have been integrated with Bhuiyan, so that issuing of duplicate loans on any land can be prevented and online entry of loan can also be done.
