CM invites industrialists to invest in State

Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, who is on a three-day visit to Mumbai, met top industrialists and bankers of the country during the Odisha Investors’ Meet 2022 on Wednesday in India’s financial capital.

Patnaik met Mahindra Rise chairman Ananda Mahinda, Aditya Birla Group chairman Kumar Manglam Birla, Vedanta Limited chairman Anil Agarwal, JM Baxi Group managing director Dhruv Kotak, Apar group chairman Chaitanya Desai, WAAREE Group chairman and managing director i Hitesh Chimanlal Doshi, SBI Chairman Dinesh Kumar Khara, STT GDC India CFO Bimal Khandelwal, HDFC Bank country head Arvind Vohra among others.

Later in tweets, the CM said he highlighted the conducive business ecosystem and immense opportunities for the companies to expand operations in Odisha,

He also invited them to explore vast opportunities for investments anD ease of doing business available in the State. 

Patnaik also discussed with the bankers setting up of new branches across Odisha that would lead to financial inclusion of the unbanked people in semi-urban s rural areas of the State.

The investors’ meet is a curtain raiser ahead of the Make-in-Odisha Conclave, 2022 scheduled to be held from November 30 to December 4, in Bhubaneswar.

Official sources said the State Government delegation is holding road shows in Mumbai to invite investments in sectors like IT, metal downstream and renewable energy, chemicals, plastics and advanced electronic manufacturing.
