Saturday, 25 June 2022 | Staff Reporter | RAIPUR

Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on Friday stressed the need to decentralize      cultural events of folk              traditions to divisional           headquarters across Chhattisgarh. These                programmes should not be confined to Raipur, he said.

Addressing a meeting of the Chhattisgarh Culture Council, Baghel also told officials to organize cultural events based on the works and personality of Mahatma Gandhi at all the divisional headquarters.

A fund of Rs 4.93 crore was approved by him for various programmes of the Council.

The Chief Minister also called for opening a music and dance college at Raigarh and get it affiliated to the Indira Kala Evam Sangeet Vishvavidyalaya at Khairagarh.

Baghel underlined the need to associate bell metal and dhokra craft with          household utility. The                artifacts of daily use must be crafted to create a market across the state.
