Missing journalist found killed, 4 held

Chhattisgarh Police on Saturday arrested four persons including a village head (sarpanch) after the remains of a journalists-cum RTI activist who went     missing last month was found in Kabirdham district.

Kabirdham Superintendent of Police Lal Umed Singh told The Pioneer that Bokkarkhar   village Sarpanch Amit Yadav, his brother Sukhsagar Yadav and accomplices Nandlal Maravi and Jagdish Dhurve have been taken into custody. They killed Vivek Choubey.

The police started the probe following a missing case lodged by Dubey’s family last month.

During investigation, the police found his remains. The four were nabbed         following a tip that they   murdered and burnt Dubey.

Yadav was accused of beating Dubey to death after a petty fight and burnt his body with the help of the others.
