Monday, 24 January 2022 | Staff Reporter | bhopal

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose was such a true son of Mother India, who sacrificed everything to free Mother India from the shackles of subjugation. He was a wonderful leader. Work is being done to build memorials of many revolutionaries on the soil of Madhya Pradesh. Today itself, the Subhash Ward and the developed museum in Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Central Jail, Jabalpur have been opened to the general public. This will inspire citizens to patriotism and love for nation. On the initiative of Prime Minister Modi, a grand statue of Netaji is being installed at India Gate. Netaji has made a great contribution in the freedom struggle, there is a true salute to him, there is a respectful homage to him.

Chouhan dedicated the Subhash Nagar flyover in Bhopal, unveiled the statue of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose and performed bhoomi-pujan of Azad Hind Fauj Concept Park this evening. Thousands of people attended the programme and welcomed Chief Minister Chouhan and expressed their gratitude for this great facility of flyover.

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose sacrificed everything to cut the shackles of subjugation of Mother India. He understood the British "divide and rule" policy. He launched the revolution. Netaji had said "You give me blood and I will give you freedom." It is unfortunate that after independence, respect was not given to him in a just manner. The new generation takes inspiration from his unforgettable contribution. Today we have forgotten the contribution of other fighters including Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose.

Our former Prime Minister Late Atal ji and the present Prime Minister Narendra Modi have respected the freedom fighters, as well as done justice to the fighters. We are trying to make the India of the dreams of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Not one but many gifts are being given to Bhopal like flyover, metro. Madhya Pradesh government is setting new dimensions of development with the cooperation of the people.

The Chief Minister called upon the resident unions to make Narela a model by playing an active role in the field of cleanliness.

Chouhan while giving information about the efforts of the State Government in the construction of roads, culverts, operation of Deen Dayal Rasoi, arrangement of Rain Baseras, Annapurna Yojana, ration distribution, welfare of street vendors, organisation of employment fairs, Ayushman Bharat Yojana, CM Rise Schools and welfare of the public in other areas, called upon the citizens to take necessary precautions to avoid the spread of Covid-19. Take advantage of the vaccine as well. It is necessary for all.

Public Works Minister Shri Gopal Bhargava said that Bhopal is one of the beautiful cities of the country. In the absence of over bridge in Narela area, a lot of people's time was wasted. Now they will get rid of this trouble. The Prime Minister Shri Modi has appreciated the development efforts of the Madhya Pradesh government. In the field of cleanliness also, Bhopal will now get the top position like Indore. About 1.25 lakh km of roads were built in rural areas in the state. Infrastructure is also being strengthened in urban areas. The development works did not stop even during the difficult Corona period. The people of the state have contributed shoulder to shoulder in the efforts for progress under all circumstances. Minister Shri Bhargava informed that 105 ROBs are being built in the state. The amount for the construction of ROBs has also been approved by the Government of India. With the help of ADB, 260 big bridges are being built in the state. In Omkareshwar, Public Works Department is playing a role in various works of installation of statue of Adi Shankaracharya and development of the area.
