The National Medical Commission (NMC) on Wednesday granted         permission to the Chandulal Chandrakar Memorial Government Medical College in Durg in Chhattisgarh to admit 150 students for the academic year 2022-23.

The college falls under the Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Memorial Health Science and Ayush University, Chhattisgarh.

A letter to the Dean states that the Chhattisgarh government acquired the college on September 3, 2021. A request was made for granting permission to 150 MBBS seats for the            academic year 2022-23.

After detailed               deliberations, the NMC decided to permit an annual intake of 150 MBBS seats in 2022-23. The permission is valid for a year and for only one batch of students.

The next batch of                students in MBBS course will be admitted only after permission from the Medical Assessment and Rating Board of NMC. Any violation of the conditions will lead to strict action under the NMC Act and regulations.
