The two-day Inter School Chess Competition was organised at Scope College of Engineering.
Notably, the competition was held in five phases. In view of the large number of participants, chess competitions were organized in different age groups.
Among different categories the cimpetition was hekd and winners were awarded. In 14 years category first position was grabbed by Madhavendra Pramap Sharma St Xavier C.S. School. Kanishka Choudhary, The Sanskar Valley School and Tushar Sethi DPS Neelbad received second and third positions respectively.
In the age group of 19 Divya Kasturia DPS Neelbad got the first position, while Mohit Atahe Government New High Secondary School got second position and Vansh Sisodia Scope Public School secured third position.
Certificates, shields and cash prizes were awarded to all the winners and certificates were given to all the participants.
The group director of the organization, Devendra Singh congratulated all the winners and encouraged the other participants. He said that chess is the only game in which our logical, intellectual and thinking power develops and by this the player learns to work calmly and patiently.
It can play an important role in his upliftment. He also thanked the eminent national player, coach and arborator Shahid Azmat and technical mentor Varun Sharma advocate present, who gave their invaluable time and experience in this two-day competition.
The programme was conducted by Tina Tiwari, the principal of the institution, in a very simple manner and in the end expressed gratitude to all.
