Police on Wednesday arrested six persons, including two minors, over their alleged involvement in the gang-raping of a woman in front of her husband in the Sahadevkhunta area of Baleswar district.
According to reports, the accused had barged into the house of the couple in the wee hours of Tuesday with an intention of loot.
They attacked the husband of the victim with a sharp weapon while three of them raped the woman in front of him. The robbers also looted Rs 10,000 from the couple.
Investigating into the case, police nabbed the accused and sent them for medical examination.
The statement of the woman has been recorded while further probe was ongoing.
