Chhattisgarh Women and Child Development Minister Anila Bhedia on Friday distributed the keys of rice mill plants costing around Rs 1 lakh each to 82 Women Self Help Groups (SHGs) at the Women Empowerment Conclave in Baloda Bazaar-Bhatapara district.
Speaking on the occasion, Bhedia said the government was committed for making women self-dependent. Every possible effort was being made by the Department in this regard.
The government has decided to provide employment opportunities to people in villages itself and hence the mini rice mills were sanctioned, she said.
Now women are not confined to household work but are contributing to the family income, she said.
