The Chandra Shekhar Azad University of Agriculture and Technology (CSAUA&T) organised a special meeting on “Annual Action Plan 2024” on Friday. Chief scientist Dr Raghavendra Singh speaking on the importance of drone technology for Indian agriculture said today farmers have come to realise the importance of drone technology which has gained recognition in the industry because of its diversity and was considered the future for the agrarian sector. He said drones did not merely enhance overall performance but also encouraged farmers to solve other assorted barriers and receive plenty of benefits through precision agriculture. He said the purpose of adopting drone technology was to exclude any guesswork or ambiguity and instead focus on accurate and reliable information. Dr Singh said external factors like weather, soil conditions and temperature played a critical role in farming and agriculture drone empowered the farmer to adapt to specific environments and make mindful choices accordingly. He said the gained data helped regulate crop health, crop treatment, crop scouting, irrigation and carry out field soil analysis and crop damage assessments.
review MEETING: Divisional Commissioner Amit Gupta while holding a review meeting of development works in the division at the Commissionerate directed that all incomplete constructions be listed on top priority. He said it was a matter of concern that domesticated milch cattle were allowed to roam on streets for foraging and directed the officials to fine their owners. He directed the officials concerned to ensure 100 per cent vaccination of cattle against lumpy skin disease (LSD). He said there should be no waterlogging near and around the schools and anganwadis and if it was there then it should be attended on top priority. The commissioner said the attendance of children in schools and anganwadis should not be less than 85 per cent.
