'Govt has to fulfill demands of advocates'

A strike is still going on by the advocates in Hazaribag regarding their demands.As per the instructions of the Jharkhand State Bar Council, this strike of the Bar Association is continuing from last January 6 till now.In this strike, about 800 advocates of Bar Association Hazaribag are away from judicial work.

Bar Association Hazaribag President Rajkumar Raju said in the Press Conference on this serious matter of the strike that the strike will continue until the state government fulfills the demands of the advocates association.There has been no communication between the State Government and the Bar Council so far, as a result of which the strike will continue.He said that in Jharkhand, we advocates are on strike regarding the increase in court fees, non-implementation of Advocate Protection Act, non-allocation of funds for advocate welfare in the budget, not making Public Prosecutor and Additional Public Prosecutor from the Bar Association of the state.He said that the Chief Minister who had established communication with the advocate, they were all government employees and all the announcements made during the program were verbal.Till now no any written declaration has been given to the Jharkhand State Bar Council.

Bar Association Secretary Suman Kumar Singh said that advocates are always ready for public welfare.The general public is troubled by the increase in court fees, it is not possible to get justice.He also said that the protest will continue till the demands are not met.

After the press conference, a memorandum was handed over to District and Sessions Judge Satya Prakash Sinha and the Deputy Commissioner by the office bearers of the bar.
