After Pro VC, VC exit who to run NPU?

Wednesday, 31 May 2023 | M F AHMAD | DALTONGANJ

It is some hours from now when the pro VC and VC of the Nilamber Pitamber university will be demiting their offices on completion of their three years tenure.

Pro VC Deep Narayan Yadav is to complete his 3 years term on May 31. Similarly VC Ram Lakhan Singh is to exit on June 1.

The two from UP would be given a send off on June 1 together, said the registrar of the NPU Dr Rakesh Kumar.

The Governor's secretariat has made an alternative arrangement for the Kolhan University Chaibasa where on the exit of its Pro VC and VC, the divisional commissioner of Kolhan was notified as acting VC of the Kolhan University.

However, Palamu division is sans any divisional commissioner. For a couple of days Pravin Kumar Toppo joined as divisional commissioner Palamu but after his joining here he was called back to Ranchi leaving Palamu division without any divisional commissioner.

It's now a big question as to who will be given charge of the NP university following the exit of the Pro VC and the VC here  since like Kolhan University here there is no divisional commissioner of Palamu who can take charge of the NP university Daltonganj.

Sources said the Governor's secretariat may like to notify DC Palamu Anjaneyulu Dodde as its Administrator till the appointment and posting of the regular VC here in the NP university.
