AIIMS Bhopal, hosted a series of events during Sewa shramdaan, held on Sunday. The vibrant celebration of service for cleanliness indicates AIIMS Bhopal's commitment to foster a spirit in the community, for cultivating a culture for a cleaner, healthier environment for all.
A Mini Marathon, a lively event aimed at promoting fitness and wellness among participants was organized in which Doctors and Paramedics participated. It was a powerful display of unity within the community. A Nukkad Natak performed by the students of AIIMS Bhopal addressed pressing social issues to create awareness and advocacy for positive change.
A Poster Competition Display and Photography Competition served as a vibrant showcase of artistic talent, allowing participants to express themselves through posters and photographs. These creative events highlighted the importance of community participation in the healthy society. Director Prof. (Dr) Ajai Singh shared his invaluable insights and inspiring vision with the gathering. His words served as a motivational call to everyone for their endeavors towards service and cleanliness.
All participants and Shram Sevaks participated wholeheartedly in taking the Swachhta Pledge, reaffirming their commitment to maintaining cleanliness and promoting hygiene. The assembly for Shramdaan at the Gandhi Gallery was a true representation of diversity, with officials, faculty, students, staff, and members of the community coming together for a selfless act of service.
The shramdaan activities also included initiatives to improve cleanliness in patient toilets within the OPD areas, IPD wards, and the proper disposal of scraps and waste materials from patient care areas. Furthermore, outreach sanitation activities were conducted in collaboration with the community at the Rural Centre in Bhojpur and the Urban Centre in Berkheda, aligning with the vision of a Swachh Bharat as envisioned by Mahatma Gandhi. Students of AIIMS Bhopal participated in a plantation drive, contributing to the green mission of the institute.
