Collectors undergo EVM, VVPAT training

District Election Officers and Deputy District Election Officers of Chhattisgarh on Monday underwent training for the first level checking (FLC) of electronic voting machines (EVM) and Voter Verifiable Paper Audit Trail (VVPAT) in Raipur.

The Chief Electoral Officer, Chhattisgarh, organized the workshop at New Rest House, Raipur, an official communication said.

The officers were given hands-on training on the administrative and technical procedures related to the Control Unit, Ballot Unit and VVPAT.

Senior officers gave detailed information regarding the technical and administrative procedures of EVMs and VVPATs.

Chhattisgarh Chief Electoral Officer Reena Baba Saheb Kangale said the first level checking of total of 1.27 lakh EVMs and VVPATs in the state will be done in district headquarters. The process will be on from June 10 to 27.

Chhattisgarh will witness assembly elections in October.
