The Central Reserve Police Force 172 Battalion has held a civic action programme in the Maoist hotbed of Garhwa in Jharkhand.
The programme was launched with the objective of to bridge the gap between villagers and security personnel.
CRPF personnel distributed 40 pieces of blankets, 24 pieces of plastic tarpaulin, 12 pieces of water tank in Kulhi village, 40 pieces of blankets, 24 pieces of plastic tarpaulin, 12 pieces of water tank in village Behratoli, 40 pieces of blankets, 24 pieces of plastic tarpaulin in Budha Pahad, 12 pieces of water tank and 40 pieces of blankets, 08 pieces of plastic tarpaulin were provided to every family in Pudang village located in Chhattisgarh. Building people-to-people contact and establishing trust with authorities was the objective behind the programme.
Nripendra Kumar Singh, Commandant said that it has always been the endeavor of 172 Bn CRPF to make every possible effort for the welfare and convenience of the people living in this area. Apart from today's program, more such welfare programs will be organized by 172 Battalion CRPF in future. The villagers falling under the said villages also praised the program greatly and expressed their gratitude towards 172% CRPF.

Apart from Inspector GD Srinivas Dubey, CRPF personnel and local villagers were present in the program.
