Engg student ends life

Thursday, 30 November 2023 | SR | Bhopal

A 19-year-old second year engineering student of private college committed suicide by hanging with the ceilign at his house in IBT colony in Bilkharia.

Anurag Suryavanshi was student of second year B.Tech from LNCT College, Raisen Road who committed suicide by hanging on Tuesday evening. The father has blamed a relative for his son's suicide.

The relative has also implicated the student in a false case. He used to threaten to implicate the deceased in other cases also. Police have not found any suicide note from the spot.

Sahdev Suryavanshi, father of the deceased, said that son Anurag Suryavanshi was his younger son. Both the sons live in a rented room in IBT Colony of Bilkharia. Elder son Abhishek is studying MCA from Suryavanshi Oriental College. The younger son was studying B.Tech second year from LNCT College.

Our relative Nikhil alias Karan keeps troubling us regarding this. Makes efforts to stop the construction work of the house. We had many disputes with him regarding this matter. He has connections with many influential people.

Both sons Anurag and Abhishek had come home on Diwali. Here Nikhil misbehaved with his elder son Abhishek one day. When he protested, they beat him and even tore his clothes. After this we reached the local police station.

The police kept us sitting there for about three hours. After this the action was started. A case of assault was registered against Nikhil.

Earlier, pressure was being put on us to withdraw, when we did not agree then FIR was registered. Later it came to light that a case has been registered against us under the same sections under which the police have registered a case on our complaint. The accused used his influence to file a counter case.
