The Uttar Pradesh government turned into action mode to begin preparations for the Mahakumbh, to be held at Prayagraj in 2025. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has directed the officials to finalise the logo and theme of the Mahakumbh.
“Leave no stone unturned in making the Mahakumbh a grand and memorable event while taking care of the needs and comfort of the visitors and devotees coming from within the country and across the globe,” the chief minister told officials.
Apart from beautification of various temples including Bhardwaj Ashram, Dwadash Madhav Temple, Nagvasuki Temple, Dashashwamedh Temple, Mankameshwar Temple, Alopi Sankari Temple, Padila Mahadev Temple, Koteshwar Mahadev , Kalyani Devi, Digital Kumbh Museum, Takshak Tirtha, Karchhana, Akshayavat or Palapuri Temple, Hanuman Temple, floating jetty and restaurant, Rahi Ilawart hotel, Triveni darshan and three entrances, the Tourism department officials have been told to develop civic amenities in Prayagraj for the comfortable stay of visitors and devotees.
In addition, the chief minister has directed the officials to publicise Mahakumbh 2025 by setting up a temporary tent colony in Prayagraj, inviting travel and tour operators to a conclave, printing travel literature in Indian and international languages, as well as establishing a tourist information centre at the temporary bus station and railway station equipped with state-of-the-art facilities.
The Yogi government has started construction of temporary thematic gates to conduct international level activities and events, under adventure tourism, including projection mapping, laser show, hot air balloon-show, drone-show, arrow sports, helicopter joy ride along with making arrangements for paragliding, paramotoring.
The chief minister also suggested to the officials to impart training to tourism service providers including guides, auto-rickshaw drivers and boatmen. Pavilions should be set up depicting the culture of all the states.
