Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on Monday said the government had succeeded in winning the trust of people in Bastar region.
He said that a major change had come in the lives of people of Bijapur and the entire Bastar region in recent years.
Baghel said this at a public meeting at a mini stadium here in which he inaugurated and laid foundation for development works worth Rs 457 crores.
He made a slew of announcements for the region including establishment of new paddy procurement centers in Cherpal, Vardali, Sankanpalli and Papanpal villages and establishing new primary schools in Madepur and Jarpalli.
He also announced that the District Hospital at Bijapur will be renamed after Mahadev Rana and the Usur square, at Awapalli in Bijapur district, will be renamed as Nagul Dorla square.
An announcement of naming the new Government Model College at Javanga (Geedam) after Veerangana Masak Devi Nag was also made.
