Governor Mangubhai Patel today performed Bhoomi-Pujan of badminton court for police personnel at Police Barrack located at Raj Bhavan. At the same time he launched the construction work by using a gaiti (spade). Principal Secretary Sports and Youth Welfare Deepti Gaud Mukherjee, Principal Secretary to Governor D.P. Ahuja and officers were present.
Governor Mangubhai Patel was informed that the Badminton Hall with all the facilities would be built in an area of 212.94 square meters. It will also have an indoor hall as well as toilet facilities. The cost of the construction work is estimated at Rs 1 crore.
