Expressing happiness over inauguration of new High Court Building in the State Capital ruling party of the State Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM), on Wednesday, said that it subject of pride for the State that the High Court building is being inaugurated by President of India and former Governor of the State, Droupadi Murmu.
Addressing a press meet at the party headquarter in the State Capital the party’s General Secretary cum Spokesperson, Supriyo Bhattacharya said that it is hour of great pleasure and pride for the people of the State that the new High Court building is being inaugurated by former Governor, Droupadi Murmu. She not only served the State as Governor, she also executed her duty for the local and tribal people for the State, he added.
“During the previous State Government of Raghubar Das, Murmu put her all effort to prevent loot of tribal land when the previous Government brought a bill for amendment in CNT and SPT Act. Several times she displayed her attachment for the people of the State. She is not only the President of India or former Governor of the State but every person of the State holds relation with her,” said Bhattachrya.
Showing gratitude towards the President of India, the party General Secretary recalled an event of the year 2016 when she was Governor of the State. He said it is tradition that Bangiya Samaj organizes a festival every year and it is always inaugurated by the Governor of the State. In 2016 also the organizers invited her to inaugurate the festival and she came for this. In her inaugural address which was in Bangla she directly relates to the people of the Bangiya Samaj from the State, he added.
The party also expressed gratitude towards Supreme Court Chief Justice, DY Chandrachud for participating in the historical programme for the State, said Bhattacharya.
