Indian Institute Of Art and Design organized a Convocation Ceremony

Indian Institute of Art and Design’s (IIAD) Annual Convocation for Graduating Batches 2022 was held at the India International Centre (IIC), Delhi.

The event was graced by the presence of many distinguished guests, including Ms Mandy Ure  - Dean, Kingston School of Arts, Pro Vice-Chancellor for Sustainability & Inclusion, Kingston University and  Damian Chapman - Head, School of Design, KSA, Kingston University.

The ceremony was inaugurated with the lighting of the lamp by  Ure, Chapman, Ajit Chadha, Dr. Jitin Chadha and Prof. Usha Patel.

The Convocation began with the congratulatory speech by Dr Jitin Chadha. Addressing the graduates, He expressed with pride, “Remember, you will always be an integral part of the IIAD family and IIAD is always there for you now and forever. Never hesitate to come back for help, support or for guidance.” Prof. Usha Patel, Director of Academics, addressed the graduates and spoke about the hard work the students had put in to get to this point.

She also referred to the opportunities that are available in the design domain.

“In the modern economy, Design is one of the most dynamic sectors. This domain offers many different opportunities to students not just in terms of getting placements, but to be able to choose from a wide range of aligned fields and create space for themselves and others.

She encouraged the graduates to use their knowledge and skills to make a positive impact on society. Students of Communication Design, Fashion Design, Interior Architecture & Design and Fashion Business Management from the batch 2018 - 2022 were awarded their degrees. Students who completed their Post Graduation in Fashion Business Management in the year of 2022 were also awarded their master’s degree.

This was followed with an address by both Ure and  Chapman congratulating the graduates on their hard work and wishing them all the best in their future endeavors.
