: A police team from Padampur police station on getting a tip-off conducted a raid in Narayanpur forest near NH 326 and seized a leopard skin and 64.3 kg ganja. The police also arrested two persons in this connection, who were identified as Sula Majhi and Nahusan Mallick and later, forwarded them to court.
The investigation of the case was in progress. In another case within the same Padmapur police limits, ganja weighing 72 kg was seized in Bahupadar village from one Nageswar Majhi. He was arrested and forwarded to court.
The Rayagada police, after reviewing the CCTV footage, seized 19 smart phones from Gurunath Halava, who was continuously stealing android phone sets from the premises of the District Headquarters Hospital, Rayagada. He was also court- forwarded in the case.
