The cyclonic circulation created over Gulf of Thailand moved to the Andaman Sea on Monday. Under its influence, a low-pressure area is likely to form over southeast Bay of Bengal (BoB) around Tuesday, said the India Meteorological Department on Monday.
The system is likely to move west-northwestwards and intensify into a depression over central and adjoining south Bay of Bengal around November 16.
Under its influence, light to moderate rain/ thundershower is very likely to occur in the districts of south and coastal Odisha -- Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Baleswar, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapada between November 15 and 16. Dry weather is very likely to prevail over the rest of the districts.
Light to moderate rain/ thundershower is very likely to occur in the districts of Dhenkanal, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Angul, Boudh, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Rayagada, Koraput, Malkangiri between November 16 and 17. Dry weather is very likely to prevail over the rest of the districts.
Light to moderate rain/ thundershower is very likely to occur in the districts of Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Angul, Dhenkanal, Boudh, Nayagarh, Khordha, Puri, Sundargarh, Deogarh, Kandhamal, Kalahandi, Ganjam, Gajapati, Rayagada, Nabarangpur, Koraput, Malkangiri. Dry weather is very likely to prevail over the rest of the districts between November 17 and 18, the IMD said.
