The Mission Life campaign has been started by the Government of India to adopt an environment-friendly lifestyle. On Wednesday, a swearing-in ceremony was organized in the auditorium of the Rural Development Department to maintain a green and healthy environment for the betterment of the coming generations.
It was presided over by MGNREGA Commissioner Rajeshwari B. DDC, Project Officer and BDO were administered oath for green and healthy environment through virtual medium along with senior office bearers and office workers. On this occasion, Rajeshwari B told people to save energy, save water, do not use plastic, organic farming and nutritious food, reduce garbage, healthy lifestyle and reduce electronic waste. Along with this, she also took a pledge to protect the environment.
Under Secretary, Arun Kumar Sinha said that the objective of Mission Life is to adopt and promote a lifestyle that does not harm the environment. The objective of this mission is to enhance the healthy climate by implementing small steps and measures at the individual and community level, he added.
Apart from the Joint Secretary, Deputy Secretary Pramod Kumar and Under Secretary Chandrabhushan and others were present on the occasion.
