Moderate to heavy rain predicted for next four to five days

There is a possibility of moderate to heavy rain in various part of the State this week. Yellow alert has been issued regarding weather in the state on Tuesday. There is a possibility of thunderstorm in many parts of the State.

Meteorological Department has predicted light to moderate rain in some areas of Garhwa and Koderma in the next few hours. There may be light to moderate rain with thunder in many parts of the State Yellow alert has been issued regarding this. The State has been receiving good rains in the last few days.

The Meteorological Department in the State has issued an alert for the coming two days. During this time, people have been appealed to be cautious of lightning. On Wednesday, there may be light to moderate rain with thunder at isolated places in the northwestern, southern and adjacent central parts. On September 28, there may be light to moderate rain with thunder at isolated places in the north-western and adjacent central parts of the state. There are chances of rain at many places in the State on September 29 and September 30 also.


The Meteorological Department has said that the weather pattern in the State will remain like this for the next four to five days. Light to moderate rain occurred at almost all places in the State in the last 24 hours. The highest rainfall was 57.2 mm in Pathargama in Godda district. There was 45.2 mm rainfall in Rajmahal, 30.8 mm in Mahro, 30.2 mm in Raidih, 28 mm in Siktia, 26.7 mm in Dumri, 20 mm in Sahibganj, and 13.2 mm in Jamshedpur. Whereas 6.5 mm rainfall was recorded in Lohardaga, 6 in Manjhari, 5.6 in Gomia, 5.4 in Barhi, 3 in Khunti, 3 in Kanke, 1.8 in Koderma and 0.8 mm in Daltonganj.
