Nisha’s resignation accepted, likely to contest

Wednesday, 25 October 2023 | Staff Reporter | BHOPAL

Madhya Pradesh government has accepted the resignation of Nisha Bangre from the post of Deputy Collector. Following the strictness of the High Court, an order accepting the resignation was issued late on Monday evening. Now she could contest the elections.

It is likely that Congress can change the candidate from Amla seat and make her contest the elections.

After Nisha's resignation was accepted, Congress Rajya Sabha MP and senior advocate Vivek Tankha gave this information by tweeting.

Tankha wrote in his tweet - In compliance with the orders of the Supreme Court and the High Court, the Madhya Pradesh government has accepted the resignation letter of Nisha Bangre. Now Nisha will have to think about her future path.

He wrote- This is not the victory of any woman officer. This is the victory of women power. Shivraj and his Chief Secretary had left no stone unturned to ensure that Nisha's resignation letter was not accepted. The order was signed on the day of Vijayadashami.

At the same time, Congress candidate from Amla, Manoj Malve said that he is true soldier of the party. Whatever decision the party takes, it will be accepted. Regarding the protest against changing the tickets, Manoj said, 'There is no point in talking about it right now. The party has officially declared me as its candidate. I am preparing to fill out the form. As soon as I get a good moment, I will file my nomination.

Nisha had alleged that the government was stopping her from contesting the elections. His resignation is not being accepted deliberately.

Information about acceptance of resignation of Nisha Bangre from the post of Deputy Collector will be sent by Madhya Pradesh Congress to AICC (All India Congress Committee).

Nisha wants to contest the assembly elections from Amla seat of Betul. She had resigned for this very reason, but the Madhya Pradesh government did not approve. After this she filed a petition in the High Court. Due to the resignation not being accepted, Congress had declared Manoj Malve as its candidate from Amla on Sunday.

Rajya Sabha MP and senior advocate Vivek Tankha said that the Supreme Court had ordered a decision on Nisha's resignation by Monday. Till Monday, no information was given by the government regarding the resignation. For this reason, the Congress high command was requested to keep the ticket on hold till Monday. When the government did not give any order, Congress declared the candidate.
