Chhattisgarh Police on Sunday arrested a suspended constable for cheating three persons of Rs 16 lakhs here by promising them jobs in the police and forest departments.
Raipur Senior Superintendent of Police Prashant Agrawal told The Pioneer that Sanjeev Mishra has been taken into custody.
Before suspension, he was posted in the Criminal Investigation Department in the police headquarters in Nava Raipur.
On December 11, 2021, Mishra took Rs 10 lakhs from Kamlesh Chandra, Rs 3 lakhs from Sagar Thakur and Rs 3 lakhs from Vipin Singh.
