Two dead, four injured in truck-jeep collision on Badrinath highway

Two persons died when the jeep they were travelling in had a collision with a truck near Teendhara on the Rishikesh-Badrinath national highway on Thursday. Four persons injured in the mishap were taken by ambulance to the community health centre in Devprayag. Those who died have been identified as Ramesh (40) and Sohan Singh Pundir (28). They along with other men were going by jeep from Pilibhit to Srinagar for work when the mishap occurred. All the injured were taken to the community health centre where two of them died during treatment. The bodies were sent to the base hospital in Srinagar for post mortem examination while the remaining injured men are undergoing treatment.
