UPECL creating exclusive web portal for UPNEDA

Wednesday, 29 November 2023 | PNS | Lucknow

In line with the Yogi Adityanath government’s efforts to promote the use of biodiesel to reduce carbon emission, the UP Electronics Corporation Limited is gearing up to create a state-of-the-art and exclusive portal for the use of Uttar Pradesh New and Renewable Energy Development Agency (UPNEDA) in order to simplify the process of production, storage, purchase and distribution of biodiesel in the state.

This portal will be equipped with many features and will act as a one-stop solution platform to do the tasks related to production, distribution, NOC clearance, licence allotment, registration, dispute resolution and payment related to biodiesel.

The proposed web portal will be developed by UP Electronics Corporation Limited, which has invited applications for the selection of the agency to carry out the task through e-tender.

It is noteworthy that the software agency to be selected for developing the web portal will assist in its design, development, implementation and operational training, as well as during the issuance of NOCs and licences.

According to the work description, this web portal will be quite detailed and operate in both Hindi and English. It will include features such as logins for UPNEDA officials, public officers, and district magistrates, along with a monitoring mechanism. Additionally, the portal will include vital information on the Yogi government’s policies on biodiesel and various other important details.

The portal will be created in such a way that it can work seamlessly by integrating with ‘Nivesh Mitra’. The website will have features like applicant registration, application approval, NOC module, payment module, renewal module, query submission, reporting module, SMS and e-mail integration, cloud server, security audit, helpdesk module and SSL for web server domain. It will also include a dashboard which will have login interfaces like applicant login, manufacturing unit, and retailer unit. It will be based on ‘responsive design technology’.

It will also have a data transfer bandwidth of 1,000 gigabytes per second and backup storage of up to 500 gigabytes disk-to-disk. Additionally, it will have the feature of live telecasting. This web portal will be user-friendly, enabling a quick dispute-resolution process.
