In a rapidly evolving media landscape, the importance of media literacy cannot be overstated. In today's digital age, the ability to discern, analyze, and critically evaluate information is a vital skill for every individual. XITE College recognizes this need and is dedicated to empowering its students with the necessary tools to navigate the complex world of media.

XITE College is delighted to announce the successful completion of the Factshala Media Literacy workshop, a significant initiative aimed at enhancing media literacy skills among its students. Generously supported by Google.org and DataLeads, New Delhi, this workshop was conducted on September 22, 2023, at the XITE College campus.

The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from XITE students, all eager to strengthen their media literacy abilities. The workshop was expertly organized by Ashish Singh, Head of Branding and Communication at XITE College, with invaluable assistance from faculty members Assistant Prof. Akinchan Xaxa and Assistant Prof. Amit Chaturvedi. Leading the workshop was Antara Bose, a media literacy trainer.

The workshop aimed to impart critical skills, including identifying various forms of media, evaluating information sources, and recognizing and combatting fake news and misinformation. The goal is to empower students to distinguish between accurate and false information, fostering a more informed and media-savvy society.

XITE College envisions a future where its students, armed with media literacy skills, can critically engage with the media, making well-informed decisions and contributing positively to society. This initiative is a testament to XITE College's commitment to holistic education and preparing students for the challenges of the modern world.
