Perfect mix of looks, safety & nature care

KIA EV6 encompasses solid safety, a sleek design and care for the environment. Its unique design, based on ‘Opposite United’ philosophy, and an ARAI-certified jaw-dropping 708 km/charge range is bolstered by ultra-fast charging capability and a host of advanced safety features

Advait couldn't have been more off the mark. At this Saturday's brunch, he was boasting to his Paso Doble class buddies they would miserably fail to find themselves an exquisite India-made car that was consummate, leave alone in convincing him that the virtues of solid safety, sleek design and care for the environment could be married together into one four-wheeler.

Soon after, the friends moodily took off and started checking various car showrooms. They didn't have to roam around much before a radiant KIA EV6 entranced Advait and his gang. The good thing was that the premium sporty electric vehicle handily met his pretty rigorous and specific demands, too: An avid trekker on most weekends and during his biannual vacations, the top honcho liked to zoom off along with his partner to faraway sylvan surroundings. He was quite zealous about his individualism as well as possessions making a style statement without disturbing nature.

The EV6 was unlike any other electric vehicle Advait had seen before. It had a unique design (for example, viewing it from the front and back projected it as a different entity) with a sporty stance. But of course, based on KIA's new design philosophy, 'Opposite United', the EV6 left a distinct impression on every onlooker's mind.

Looks apart, the car successfully neutralises range anxiety with an ARAI certified, whopping 708 km/charge which was perfect for Advait's outings. Another important superior feature is EV6's fast-charging capability. It comes with a long-range 77.4 kWh battery pack with 800-volt ultra-fast charging capability; a 10-80 per cent charge taking barely 18 minutes with a 350-kW charger, making it perfect for long drives.

The car's powerful all-electric motor effortlessly churns out 605 Nm of torque. Its low centre of gravity makes EV6 a sporty handling experience, powering the vehicle to 0-100 in just 5.4 seconds. The EV6 also has the latest generation of KIA's Smart Regenerative Braking System that recuperates kinetic energy to maximise driving range and efficiency. It comes equipped with four regenerative braking levels, where-in 'i-PEDAL' driving mode allows the car to harvest the maximum amount of energy from brakes and enables the driver to bring the vehicle to a gentle halt without needing to push the brake pedal.

KIA EV6 is one of the safest EVs available in India, with eight airbags,

all-wheel disc brakes, ABS, ESC, HAC, MCBA, BAS, VSM, ESS, front and rear parking sensors, besides the ISOFIX child anchor. It also has advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) such as Forward Collision Avoidance Assist (FCA) for car, pedestrian, cyclist, and junction turning, Lane Keep Assist (LKA), Blind-spot Collision Avoidance Assist (BCA), Rear-cross Traffic Avoidance Assist (RCTA), Safe Exit Assist (SEA), Lane Follow Assist (LFA), Blind Spot Detection (BSD), Driver Attention Warning (DAW), and Smart Cruise Control (SCC) with Stop & Go Functionality.

Advait couldn't have been happier at being proved wrong. In the bargain, he found everything he wanted but didn't hope to find in an Indian electric vehicle - sporty design, long range, fast charging and advanced safety and driver assistance features. Now he can't wait for his next getaway in his new KIA EV6!
