As many as 168 candidates are contesting the third phase of the Lok Sabha elections in Chhattisgarh after the deadline for withdrawals ended on Monday, the Election Commission said.
Of these, 142 are men and 26 are women. A total of 187 nominations were found valid but 19 candidates withdrew their names.
Ten candidates are vying for the Surguja constituency, 13 for Raigarh, 18 for Janjgir-Champa, 27 for Korba, 37 for Bilaspur, 25 for Durg and 38 for Raipur.
The seven constituencies will see polling on May 7. The results will be announced on June 4 across the country.
