Chief Electoral Officer Anupam Rajan has said that as per the election schedule of Lok Sabha Elections-2024, the process of filing nomination papers for the fourth phase is going on.

On Friday, the second day of filing nomination papers for the fourth phase, 4 candidates submitted 4 nomination papers. So far, 16 nomination papers have been filed by 11 candidates.

Chief Electoral Officer Rajan said that for the fourth phase, on the second day on April 19, one nomination was filed by one candidate in Lok Sabha Parliamentary Constituency No. 21 Dewas (SC), 2 nomination papers by 2 candidates in No. 26 Indore and in number-27 Khargone (ST) 1 nomination paper was filed by 1 candidate. No nomination paper was filed by any candidate today in the remaining Lok Sabha Parliamentary Constituencies of the fourth phase No. 22 Ujjain (SC), No. 23 Mandsaur, No. 24 Ratlam (ST), No. 25 Dhar (ST) and No. 28 Khandwa.

Chief Electoral Officer Rajan said that the affidavits and other information of the candidates who have filed nomination papers can be seen on the website of the Election Commission of India at the link https://affidavit.eci.gov.in/.

He said that the last date for filing nomination papers is Thursday, April 25. The nomination papers will be scrutinized the next day on Friday, April 26. Candidates who have filled the nomination papers will be able to withdraw their names till Monday, April 29. Voting for the fourth phase will take place on Monday, May 13. Counting of votes in all phases will take place on Tuesday, June 4.
