A total of 35 candidates have filed 63 nomination papers for the second phase of the Lok Sabha elections in Chhattisgarh, the Election Commission said on Wednesday.
Thirteen candidates filed 19 nominations for the Rajnandgaon constituency, nine filed 18 nominations for the Kanker constituency and 13 filed 26 nominations for the Mahasamund constituency.
Nominations for the second phase began on March 28 and will end on Thursday. They will be scrutinized on April 5 and withdrawals will be accepted until April 8.
The three constituencies will see polling on April 26. The results will be announced nationally on June 4.
