ADG holds briefing of police personnel for PM’s security

The additional director general (ADG) of police AP Anshuman conducted a briefing session on Monday to ensure high security, law and order during Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Udham Singh Nagar’s Rudrapur on Tuesday. He along with senior police officers briefed the police force deployed for the security arrangements for the PM’s arrival. The ADG said that a large number of police forces, PACs and paramilitary forces among others have been deployed in the security arrangements of Modi. He asked all the police personnel on duty to efficiently conduct their duty while following all VVIP security norms as per the rules. Bags and other similar objects will be banned in the event. The police have also banned carrying similar objects on the VVIP route. He asked all deployed personnel to ensure nobody tries to conduct such illicit activities there. Besides this, he also asked the traffic police to ensure vehicles of VVIPs and the general public must be parked in the designated places. He also directed them to make proper arrangements in advance to avoid any chaos when dignitaries and the public exit from the event. The department will not tolerate any kind of negligence in duty at any level, he added. Besides the ADG, the DIG Kumaon Range Yogendra Singh Rawat, the Udham Singh Nagar senior superintendent of police Manjunath TC, the commandant of 46 Battalion PAC Pankaj Bhatt and other police officers were also present.
