KK Thakur, Chief Guest & Director (Human Resources), BHEL accompanied by SM Ramanathan, Executive Director, BHEL, Bhopal and M Isadore, Executive Director, BHEL on Monday inaugurated the All India Public Sector Volleyball Competition being organized from Monday April to 18, 2024 at BHEL, Bhopal Sports Complex. All the General Managers, representatives of various trade unions and a large number of employees were present in the program.
Players from public sector undertakings as BSNL, Oil India Ltd., ESI, LIC, SAIL, NALCO, COAL India Ltd., NLC India and BHEL are participating in this volleyball competition.
Addressing the gathering, KK Thakur, Director (Human Resources) said that it is very important to have Sportsman Spirit for success in every walk of life. He said that organizing this game among the PSUs will help them to develop mutual understanding among themselves. He further added that this type of even gives us an opportunity to understand each other's good deeds.
Success and failure are two sides of the same coin. While success inspires us to move ahead in our lives, failure introduces us to the mantra of being successful in life. Unless we come face to face with failure, we cannot understand the essence of success. For a good player, both success and failure are equally important. He takes inspiration from failure and moves forward on the path of success without stopping. We too have to move forward on the path of life inspired by this feeling and achieve the set goal.
On this occasion, M Isadore said that sports give us the message of competition and teamwork. He welcomed this event at BHEL Bhopal.
In his address, Ramanathan said that while such an event boosts the morale of the players participating in the competition, on the other hand it also inspires the spectators and the people of the new generation. It will be our endeavor that this event is successful from all points of view and all the players participating in this All India Public Sector Volleyball Competition remember this event as a memorable event. BK Singh welcomed everyone in the beginning while RK Srivastava highlighted the importance of this event in his address.
