Actor-turned-politician Anubhav Mohanty on Monday joined the BJP in New Delhi. He was welcomed to the saffron party by the party’s senior leader Vinod Tawde.
Kendrapada MP Anubhav had resigned from the BJD a couple of days ago and sent his resignation letter to BJD supremo Naveen Patnaik stating that he quit the party on ‘personal’ reasons. However, he made it clear in his letter that he would contest the upcoming polls.
“After thorough introspection and careful consideration, I concluded that I would never quit politics or abstain from serving my Motherland. I will certainly represent the people of Odisha in every possible manner. My resignation from BJD is a necessary step not only in a personal sense. I resigned more to serve my dearest Motherland,” Anubhav had mentioned in the letter.
