Bees attack morning walkers at Ekant park, several injured

Several morning walkers were injured after bees attacked them at Ekant park located at Link Road No. 3 of Bhopal on Monday. The Ekant park is near Char Imli, a posh area of the city where hundreds of people come to walk in the morning and evening.

A large number of people had arrived on Monday morning also during which the bees were distracted and attacked them. Many people were injured in the attack.

No one was seriously injured in the incident.

How did the bee fly suddenly? This could not be found out.

At the same time, the injured people also made their own arrangements and reached the hospital for treatment.  DFO Alok Pathak said, information about flying bees has been received. All the hives in the park will be removed.

There was panic among the people during the bee attack. They started running here and there to avoid the bees. Many people from Char Imli area come to this park for morning and evening park.

Many ministers, MLAs, senior IAS and IPS have bungalows in Char Imli. People from Chuna Bhatti, Shahpura, Bitthan Market, Tulsi Nagar areas also come to visit the secluded park.

The secluded park was developed by CPA (Capital Projects Administration) about three decades ago. Now it is being looked after by the Forest Department. Spread over approximately 84 acres of land, this park is very suitable for morning walkers. Natural pathways have been created amidst huge lush green trees.
