BJP: AAP Government did not pay attention to Capital villages

Monday, 12 February 2024 | Staff Reporter | New Delhi

Leader of Opposition in Delhi Assembly Ramvir Singh Bidhuri on Sunday said here Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Government did not pay any attention to the development of villages in nine years. No schools and colleges were opened in the villages, no sewer lines were laid, nor roads were developed and expanded, he claimed.

Bidhuri made these assertions after spending the entire day with the villagers in Badarpur village on Sunday as per the directions of the party. He will stay there at night also. During this, he spent time with every section of the society and informed them about the welfare and development schemes of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Besides, information was also given about the neglect of Delhi rural areas by the Arvind Kejriwal government in Delhi and the breach of promises made to them.

Addressing the residents, he said Kejriwal did not fulfill any of the promises he had made to the farmers and Delhi villagers. Till date, Laldora of villages has not been increased nor has house tax been waived off in villages, despite the fact that he had made such a promise in the Delhi Assembly and MCD elections. No subsidy on electricity was given to farmers and village land was not developed for the villagers, Bidhuri said.

Bidhuri said there is a lot of resentment among the villagers against the Kejriwal government and they will teach it a lesson in the upcoming Lok Sabha and assembly elections next year.
