BJP to be wiped out from eastern UP: Akhilesh

Thursday, 23 May 2024 | PNS | Lucknow

Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav said that the Bharatiya Janata Party would be wiped out from eastern Uttar Pradesh in the sixth and seventh phases of Lok Sabha elections and Prime Minister Narendra Modi would also lose from Varanasi.

Akhilesh Yadav said the INDIA Block was ahead of the BJP in all Lok Sabha constituencies of eastern Uttar Pradesh and on June 4, the day of counting of votes, a film would be released ‘Ek Thi BJP’.

“Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scared of the opposition INDIA Bloc so he is attacking its leaders. The prime minister, instead of focusing on his party’s agenda, is targeting the ‘shahazade’ (Akhilesh Yadav and Rahul Gandhi). Both the shahazade are not only giving ‘shah’ (challenge) they will also defeat the BJP,” Akhilesh Yadav said while addressing an election rally in Azamgarh on Wednesday.

Dharmendra Yadav, cousin of Akhilesh Yadav, is the SP candidate from Azamgarh.

Akhilesh Yadav was elected to Lok Sabha from Azamgarh Lok Sabha constituency in 2019 Lok Sabha elections.

Claiming that Azamgarh is his real home, Akhilesh Yadav said, “Etawah, Kannauj and Mainpuri are the traditional turf of the SP; Azamgarh is the place which will change the course of politics of Uttar Pradesh.”

He said the people of Azamgarh and the rest of eastern Uttar Pradesh had decided to show the door to the BJP.

He said during the decade-long rule of the BJP at the Centre, the saffron party had only ditched the poor, the farmers and all other sections of society.

“Instead of honouring its promise of doubling the income of the farmers, the common man’s life has been devastated by the galloping inflation and unemployment,” he said.

Urging the electorate to ensure the victory of the SP candidate from Azamgarh with a record margin, Akhilesh Yadav promised that the INDIA Bloc government will ensure that one lakh rupees are credited in the saving accounts of women across India. He said the INDIA Bloc government would also double the free food grain to the poor and also scrap the Agniveer scheme for recruitment of jawans in the Indian Army.

Accusing the BJP of amassing huge wealth through electoral bonds, Akhilesh Yadav said, “The Supreme Court order quashing the electoral bond scheme has exposed the corruption by the BJP,”

Terming the all-India vaccination drive after the COVID-19 pandemic as “scam”, the SP chief charged that “people were forcibly vaccinated against their will”.

He said all those who got the vaccine would fall ill and may even suffer heart attack.

He claimed that the vaccine manufacturing company is now withdrawing the vaccine from the market.

Akhilesh Yadav asserted that the SP candidate will win from a record margin in Azamgarh. “I have constructed a new house in Azamgarh and we will celebrate the victory here on June 4,” the SP chief said.
