Cash, goods seizures go past Rs 108.86 cr

The surveillance teams in Chhattisgarh have confiscated cash and other goods worth Rs 108.86 crore so far to ensure free and fair Lok Sabha elections, an official communiqué said on Friday.

The seizures include Rs 18.21 crore in cash, 87,912.83 litres of liquor valued at Rs 3.09 crore, 15,562.86 kg of narcotics valued at Rs 31.11 crore, 243.58 kg of precious metal worth Rs 18.07 crore, and other goods worth Rs 38.38 crore.

The seizures took place after the model code of conduct was imposed.
